Dyslexia is learning difference that specifically effects reading and spelling. It is not linked to intelligence, but can make learning difficult. Dyslexia varies from person-to-person with no two people having the same strengths and weaknesses. Often, people with dyslexia have strong visual, spatial or creative skills.

I am a qualified primary teacher with additional training in teaching and assessing learners with specific learning diffiuclties (SpLD). I am passionate about meeting individual needs whilst building self-esteem and confidence and, importantly, having fun!

Specialist Support
Every learner is different! After an initial consultation, I plan a cumulative and structured, individual programme to achieve your child's goals. Lessons are multi-sensory and discovery based. Understanding and automaticity is developed through motivating activities that build on prior learning.

Located on the Buckinghamshire/Hertfordshire border, I offer individual, specialist support for children aged 6 to 14. Lessons are adapted to meet individual needs and can focus on literacy, maths, study skills or a mixture of all three.
